ISIS suffer casualties in Nangarahr air and ground operations

Militants affiliated to the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group suffered casualties during the air and ground operations conducted in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

The provincial government media office in a statement said a series of air and ground operations were conducted against the terror group in the past 24 hours in this province, leaving five militants dead and four others wounded.

The statement further added that the operations were conducted in the vicinity of Khogyani district of Nangahrar province and the dead bodies of at least two of the militants were also left in the area.

According to the provincial government of Nangarhar “at least four improvised explosive devices were also confiscated during the operations.
